This is a nice early GPO 706 in black, which is strangely not that common a colour for these.

Old Dial Black Telephone 706L I think it is a GPO / Ericsson design but other than the number there are no other details I can see.
It has come from an estate and in original condition, it has not been converted to the modern plug therefore untested.
No cracks or chips to the casing, bright & glossy but will benefit a clean as it has just been dusted.
Numbers and Alphabet dial the mouthpiece again free from damage just some paint to the the wiring.

It's a MK1 with the plastic base, which will be hard-wired inside (no PCB) and has the early domed feet.
Should be a Diakon case at this age and also appears to have an unusual receiver element. I have another early 706 with one of these elements, which is the type usually seen in a Siemens Centenary Neophone.

If I didn't already have a nice black example (mine is 1961) I'd have bought this, so hopefully another member will snap it up.

I just don't get why it's still for sale - does nobody want the black ones??
