Title: NE Princess 1702 and 2702 Diagrams; Original diagrams found
Post by: RotoTech99 on August 15, 2017, 09:55:57 AM
Dear Forum:

Attached in .pdf format are the 1702 and 2702 NE Princess diagrams for sets with both the 25H4 and 35H4 dials provided to me by Leonard Hicken of TCI which he gave me permission to distribute.

I have some other actual diagrams which I will post later; you may disregard the earlier draft postings.

I think these diagrams attached will answer some of the NE Princess related inquiries I have seen previously.

IMO these filenames are misleading.  The files include the stated information but they contain much more: complete telephone set circuits.  I suggest these more complete titles:

For: "Princess with early network.pdf"
502-7109-433CAB p4 - 1702BQ1A ''Princess'' Tel Set e-w NE-25H4 Dial & QNB4A2 or QNB6 Net.pdf

For: "35H4 Dial.pdf"
502-7109-433CAB p6 - 1702BQ1A & 2702BQA ''Princess'' Tel Set e-w NE-25H4 or NE-35H4 Dial & QNB17A Net.pdf

More complete titles which include the formal document numbers facilitate finding the information using the search system.

Files renamed as such and attached to the first topic.

Rototech99 ....  I used one of the schematics you posted showing the N.E 1702BQ1A set, equipped with a N.E. QNB6A Network, and reconfigured the schematic drawing to show the set equipped with the early QNB4A-2 Network.      I eliminated the dotted lines, removed terminals 5 & 6, which although are marked on the board, don't actually exist on the QNB4A-2, as the terminal pins were never installed at the time of manufacture.   I added the conductor colors to the dial pad leads, rather than just the numbers associated with the leads.    I also reconfigured the one ringer lead, moving it to L1 from the "G" or ground terminal, so that it's now shown for bridged ringing, rather than ground ringing.    The schematic would now be for a Northern 1702-B, which were produced from the mid to late 1960's.     Attached is a "jpeg" version, and "PDF" version, of the schematic drawing.     They'll both print out nicely on letter size (8.5" x 11.0") paper.   Click the "jpeg" image to enlarge.
