Columbia, SC old photos

I work in an old AT&T building in downtown Columbia, SC. On the top floor tucked away in a corner office is the Pioneer storage room. There is some historical info about Columbia stored there. Apparently Columbia was the second city in the U.S. to go to all dial service in 1922. First photo is a new central office built in 1920. The rest are apparently of a machine switching demonstration in 1922.

I think the dial is a 'dial demonstrator'. My guess is it is a working style dial .

Yes, Jim I've seen many of those old bell films on the various dial demonstrators.

They often used real dials at the heart of the demonstrator dials.
