GPO 300 series with box?

This ad was posted on our local Ebay, marktplaats. It was a repost. The first time it was posted it already stood out, nog only because it is a British Phone (don´t see them much around here), but because it came with some kind of box.

The only discription given is `bakelieten telefoon met koffer`, Bakelite telephone with box/trunk/case.

This suggests the box goes with the Phone. Does anybody here know more about this combination?

The case is probably just something they (or a previous owner) threw in just to get rid of it, unless it has GPO markings, then it's doubtful they originally go together...
