After a year or more of bidding $50 on every hubcap that I crossed paths with I finally snagged one:

It has a couple chips but nothing too serious

My 5-year old has developed a fondness for the little hubcap and has picked out a spot on the wall for me to hang "her" sign.  I couldn't figure out where it went until I checked on her ...

Darling picture, and great sign, Greg!

Looks like another potential case of early-onset phonitis! ;)

Best regards!

Looks to be in great shape. It's nice when the kids have an interest in what you do. FYI the #23 was the same sign but without the grommets.

Prices on these old hubcaps have been inconsistent:

What use is one with no grommets?  Was it more aesthetically pleasing to not have to see the screws?

They were glued onto the wall. I was born and raised in New York City and when I was a kid in the 1960s (darn I'm old!) the 1939 hubcaps and 11x11s where every where. For example the one without the grommets would be used where a store front was glass with just a small area down low for mounting a sign.
