Hello everyone!
My Mushroom "Tribute" phone is just about done, I just need to give it the peroxide treatment, I'm waiting for the stuff to come in the mail.
Here are some pictures of what I did inside. Please keep in mind, I'm not looking for original wiring, I just want it to have the look and operation on the outside. You can see the bracket I made for the bulb and socket, The terminal on the other side of the dial is from the parts box and was used to extend the power wires. With the dial removed, you can see the original princess stuff mounted to the base. My only problem is the hood is probably not as thick as the original hood and the light shines through. I tried putting a few coats of white paint on the inside, but it really didn't help much. Any suggestions?

Hey, I'm sort of confused by what you are saying. Could you upload a picture of this in the dark showing exactly what you mean?

You could try adding a coat of paint to the outside. The white cap for my pink mushroom was painted white on the inside and pink on the outside, and light still shines through. Probably not much you can do about that, to be honest.

I'm betting the plastic is thinner than the original plastic, which did not do that. To be honest, I would just leave it the way it is. If you keep coating it with paint, it will start to look bad. Especially if you do not plan on using it everyday and you won't really even notice it.

I think it looks great! I wouldn't do a thing, you should be very proud of it. Outstanding job!!..Doug
