I was just putting an early Princess back together after refurbishment, and an interesting question popped in my head: did WE ever make external ringers (E1C) in color to match early 701Bs? It would have made sense to make them in matching colors rather than all in Light Gray.

I thought I have seen one before, but I couldn't find one after several forum searches.

I have only seen them in light gray.

The early E1A ringers covers were "blue-beige" (color code --42) to match the station wire. Then gray as Bill mentioned.  And the last E1CM color was ivory.

Matching subsets were already nonstandard by the mid-50s. So all newly installed after that were black, except by special request.

Perhaps you could try to get matching 283B plugs for each Princess color.

BSP Section C18.042 issue 3 in TCI library shows E1A ringer.

These ringers were typically installed on or by the baseboard molding at the floor, so there was very little incentive to match the color of the set, in fact it made more sense to use a neutral color matching the wall, floor or furniture.

Here are the colors I have:  beige—42 and gray—49

didn't ITT offer these in matching colors?
