In 2014 there was an estate sale in Taunton, MA.  The estate belonged to a descendant of one of the directors of the Southern Massachusetts Telephone Company, which ceased to be in 1912 when it was absorbed by N.E.T.&T. Co. At the estate sale there were two batches of telephone badges that came up for sale.  The first batch of 13 badges came up for sale on eBay in December of 2014.  It consisted of 12 consecutively numbered badges from 1-11 and an Inspector badge #39.  One of the badges was sold by a different seller who'd bought it off the first, but they were on eBay at the same time.  Badges 1-6 had flat blue bells.  Higher numbered badges had raised bells.

In April of 2018, the second batch of an additional 5 badges appeared on eBay.  These consisted of two numbered badges 4-5, two un-numbered badges, and an older style Inspector badge #4. The numbered badges in this auction duplicate badges in the previous auction which were in the "flat bell" style.
