Would a helpful member who has a NE 2500D please pop on this thread a photo of their phone from top showing writing under cradle, under handset, and mousehole (I have looked, can't find similar here).

Am not au fait with these so need a comparison.

Thanks.

A 12 button 76 vintage would be delicious...

Ok, I think I can serve that up!   ;D

Pink NE 2500D 1971 NE logo
White NE 2500D 1977 NT logo.

Thanks for those.

My phone's logo seems to be the other way around. Is that commonplace?

Can anyone point me in the direction of info re shells/timelines.

Looks to me like you have a backwards logo. I'll check more of my phones to see if any of the 500's and 2500's has a backwards logo.
I do have one with the backward logo, it's on my Orange Contempra that came from a closed Museum.

I wondered if it might be backwards but I can't find much info on these, and most photos are W.E.

I may have discovered an oddity.  :)

I remember your backwards logo thread, since reading that I always look for it on Contempra handsets just in case.  ;D

Here are a couple more photos taken this morning. Needs a good clean, but very pleased with this.
Nice phone in good condition.

The logo is definitely reversed.  :D

I would say so! Now I'll have to go though my desk phones to see if I have one. :)
Great score!

A nice phone in itself, the reversed logo is a bonus.  :D
I'll take some more photos and add, all those I took this morning were too dark.

Let us know what you find!  :)

@FABphones - your logo is 'Northern Electric' rather than 'Northern Telecom' - not sure if that makes a difference.
Nice phone by the way (from what I have seen).

Northern Electric and Northern Telecom were the same company, just a name change. In the end they were known as Nortel Networks.

Understood. I just wondered if the NE logos were generally one orientation and the NT ones the other?

No, they are all meant to face the back of the telephone. That way the logo could be read from behind. Western and ITT did the same thing.
