I bought this for the"mini" network i was told they had.
This one does not ave a mini. it is a 4010B. so now I got another phone i can't use.
Anyway, I noticed it has a lighted dial. that's cool.
Also, it has a couple extra switches in it that I don't know what they do.
First, there is a twist switch on the left side, line one or two?
or maybe a hold?
next, there is a white plunger that activates another switch when it is lifted, why?
Last, there is yet another switch in the rear, only accessible when cover removed. what is that for?
I need to figure out what to do with this one???
Thanks :)

Clear button with black line on it is for switching from Line 1 to Line 2. Also can be pushed down to signal (buzz) another station. White left plunger is for hold (holds line 1 only on some models; or holds the line you are not talking on on others) or can be rewired for excluding other stations. Slide switch in the back is to turn the night light on or off. This is the same lamp that illuminates the dial, but with a resistor in series. The dial lamp lights up whenever the phone is off-hook.

It's a great set. There's a lot in a small package.

I do not see a bell in here...
am I missing it?

There was no room for a ringer, a C ringer was used mounted to the wall, the extra room was taken by other components.

RB,
the AE mini networks are in the trendline phones.  this style  have leads
ITT mini networks are in the 500/2500 sets. this style has female spade connectors.
This phone isn't the parts you expected. You could sell /trade for to get the mini networks you want.

In your shoes, I would sell if I found an interested buyer. Then I would spend the money acquiring the parts needed.

I think you meant E1C ringer for the 713B and AE Styleline for the mini-networks.
