Found this old Ad from 1946, it entails of the "old timer' models, I would love to find anything before 1920! My oldest phone is from 1928, a rotary candlestick. Would love to find the one from 1897 or 1902, such grand years! I havent yet to get a circular touch tone with old rotary mold or the A1 which I would love to find but they run very high and I am still a beginner at this, I'm only 19 and I just adore old items from the past! Would love it if anyone is willing to help! Thanks so much in advance, have a great day, thanks for stoppin' by! ~JMS

Have a look at this site

and keep in mind these turn of the century sticks are all over $1,000 and in not perfect condition if you find one and the top 10 can exceed $10,000 at auction.

Here's one that sold in 2013

and others can be found in the Auction Contest boards

for those caught in a contest some time ago. Are you willing to spend real money?

The least expensive route for obtaining a pre-1920 phone is probably to buy a wall phone.  You should be able to find one for well under $100.  Be aware though, that a local battery (LB) or magneto phone will not work on a standard telephone line without substantial modification.  Do you want a phone to use or just to display?

As per Larry's question; are you looking to display or use the phones?

If use, the addition of a subset may also need to factored into your budget.

Are you specifically looking for Candlesticks?
What is your budget?

Could you please expand re what area of help you are asking for?

Would love to have it working in my display, but I do know Magneto's are separate to the regular phone lines

Would love to find something for around 100, I have seen the wooden wall phones but have been wearly on originality since I do know fakes are a problem. I would love to find an early candlestick but they are oh so pricy! Thanks for the time!
