Sounds like time to start over! Buy a hideous Starlite on ebaY for $1.99 and put your nice case and handset onto it replacing the receiver capsule as well.  You need more AE phones so you get some parts to swap around. This Starlite is your only old phone so far isn't it? Where are you located roughly?

I was half afraid and secretly hoping you might say that.    I DID look on ebay, and I might need a chaperone if I am going there- so many really interesting phones!  However, I have not found a "parts" starlite yet.  I live in the upper peninsula of michigan, in an old copper town with lots of abandoned history.   The downside is, if it isn't here already, you have to have it shipped in.  It's R-U-R-A-L, and the closest "big city" is a 7 hour drive.

I am still poking around to see if I can find one locally.  The brewpub on the corner uses one as their main line!
