Hi, Looking for some expert knowledge on this old rotary phone i picked up last weeks. I've wired it for use in the UK but its from Holland i think.

Marked "PTT" and "HEE..MAF" on the sides. don't know much more about it than that.

It works fine and is in good condition.

Would anyone be able to give me some more information about this phone; model, age etc.. As well as a guess on its retail value?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Tom

It's a Dutch PTT phone of German design, made by Heemaf under license from Siemens.  Look at: http://www.telefoonmuseum.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=47:1930-1960 about 60% down the page.

It's based on the German model W28.

In 1931 Dutch PTT reached an agreement with HEEMAF (Hengelosche Electrische En Mechanische Apparaten Fabriek) to manufacture desk telephones under a Siemens license: Type 1931.

A wall version of this telephone became available in 1934.

The one in your picture is a later model that was produced after WWII. To know the exact type I would need to see the back of the phone (where the cords enter the phone)
