This came up for sale - and Mr FAB (ex-BT) has bought it for me as an early Christmas present. Wow.

It is a fully restored original GPO K6 side (from above the telephone box door), with original glass, showing the crest which is a Gold Crown. It will look a treat in the new phone room which is underway. Weighs 20kg. Strong wall fixing required! I might even build a frame and put a light behind it.

'In 1935 the K6 (kiosk number six) was designed to commemorate the silver jubilee of King George V. It was consequently sometimes known as the "Jubilee" kiosk. It went into production in 1936'.

Third photo shows an example of how it would have looked when in use.

Tooo excited. Had to share.  :)  :)  :)
