I bought this candlestick phone lamp/cigarette lighter a few weeks ago (I guess it's not an atrocity if you buy it ::)) - it was very professionally modified/constructed & is painted beautifully in dark gold with black accents rather like the "Old Brass" used on the 200 series - other than a few tiny paint nicks, some dust & fraying cord cover it is great condition - will post more pictures when I get a chance.
I'll need to keep an eye out for a suitable shade for it.

Well, if they gotta do it...
at least it was done very well.

Glad to see it has the power switch on the lampholder.
I have a lamped (is that a word?) GPO 150 candlestick that came to me with the bulb switched with the hookswitch.
I very rapidly sorted that, as passing 240V AC through a switch specified for 50VDC / 75VAC didn't seem like a very clever thing to do.

It is now...lol
Dude, I got tired of my candle just sitting there, so I lamped it. Now it has a purpose!
Crud, now all the ...???...reality shows are gonna be lookin for candles to REPURPOSE!!!
Oh, the Horror! lol ;)
Maybe, if we can keep this sort of abuse on the downlow, it might not catch on... we can only hope.

My reply a bit off topic, lamped is a word, it means to be hit. I haven't a clue where its origin lies though.

E.g. "He was annoying me so I lamped him one".

Come to think of it I have heard that term before.
If it means 'beaten-up' then yes, some of these poor phones have been lamped!
;D
