#2 Buttset with Holder Mount!!

This has been on CL forever. I could not get the seller to send it to me.

Out of the blue, this morning....Easter.... he says he is picking up a saw on CL in Framingham and do I still want it? YES!

He dropped it off on my porch as I left $25 in an envelope.

A #2 dial is great but the Holder/Mount might be the prize.

The dial spins and returns as it should and it calls out!!

This was strange as the buttset is all corroded and couldn't be saved, but the dial looks to be NOS, paint is perfect, Dial plate is operfect.

The mount cleaned up very nice. Very shiny metal. That was my day today.

I am really happy as I have never seen a mount like this for a metal Buttset.

Completed and Mounted in Phone Room. Looks like there might have been a metal bar that locked this in place in front. I secured with the alligator clips so it cannot dive on some phones below....Doug

I guess it was mounted on a rack in an automatic exchange for testing puposes?

I've got a lot of different butt sets, including several of this style, but I have never seen the mount. Nice find, especially for $25.

Being a phoneman all my life, I am a big fan of buttsets  and tools of the trade . The perfect 2AB caught my eye, but the mount is truly something special. I am like a little kid with a new toy, I can't stop looking at it.

With the condition it was in, I never expected it to turn out like this....Doug
