The most common of the brown 500s is a deep maroon color like a North. The harder to find is a chocolate brown color. Too cold for outside pictures.

The Maroon color is not fade and the same color through out with matching cords

I have never seen any documentation of a different color than the Mahogany Brown.

Any info is greatly appreciated..Doug

I have seen documents using different names for the 500-series colors, but for brown the associated color codes have been -54, so should be the same color.

Are there color codes on the back of dials or bottom on your sets, as in the examples below? Note that several appear to be darker brown, but are coded -54, too.

It would also be helpful to know the dates on your sets and brown parts.

Paul...this set I now have is the color of the one you posted, more of a maroon than a brown.

This is a base shot of the Mahogany Brown set that is no longer mine. More of a brown than a maroon.

Three side by side in natural light and it is tough to tell the difference.

You can see the difference in the flash pics from this morning.

Last pic has a black handset in it for reference..Doug
