My first AE Monophone! I'm excited..

I picked up this Monophone yesterday while in Denver, along with the ringer box I posted earlier. They were separate sales.
I'm not familiar with these other than what I've read on here. It's really different with the push to talk button under the handset, but I really like the looks of it. I'll clean and polish it later and post some pics.
One question I have is whether or not the base rim plastic covers are available anywhere. This one is ripped along the inside edge and I'd like to replace it if possible.

Gary's base rings are nice and appear accurate. ISTR his prices are fair for them.

I've been trying to find this phone with this handset. I can't find one, so I don't think the handset is correct, unless I'm missing something. The handset is labeled AE, and says 'Press for Silence, Release to Speak'.
The wiring seems ok. It's a nice looking handset with the nickel bands to match the nickel finger wheel.
I'm curious what model this handset went on.
Any information from you AE experts would be appreciated.

FAB, (sorry can't remember your name, I gotta work on that!)
The first link has stub talking about his handset with 3 wires, which mine also has. His also looks a little similar, but the endcaps are diff.
Thanks for those informational links! They're very helpful.

You're welcome :).   Always worth doing a quick CRPF search as there's some great reading to be found here.

AE are a favourite of mine. Beautifully designed phones.

This is the nicest AE 1A image I could find for you at the mo which shows the correct handset.

Witty,
Great find !! Can you post a pic of the insides of your phone? What I'm looking for is to see if you have a resistor coil on connection #8 going to #2 .
Here's a wiring diagram from Mr. Ryan of the AE 11A.
I found, what I think is your handset in AE Circular 1905 "Replacement Parts" , pg.22, Mar. 1958.  stub
