    Hi,
I am a novice with a North Electric gallion phone, the ringer does not work. Everything else works fine. On the base it says St. line ringer. we have a land line in the house. I wonder if anyone has a good picture of a working gallion so I can compare the wiring in my phone to see if it is correct. Could it have the wrong ringer in it?
                                                     Thanks for any help,
                                                                        Tom

Tom,

Welcome to the Forum.  Do you know what dial is in the phone?  It could be a North dial, an Automatic Electric Dial or even a Western Electric dial.

Here is a diagram from the TCI that should apply to your phone.

It takes a little while to get used to reading the schematics.  Just try and trace the wires and compare it to your phone.  If you can post a couple of photos of your phone's wiring it would help.

Welcome to the Forum Tom,
Try to post some pictures when you can. Just because it says St. line on the bottom doesn't confirm that this is the ringer you have in it, especially if you bought it off of eBay. Do a search within this Forum and I'm sure you will find some pics of a North Galion. Those phones seem to be very well built and underrated in my opinion.
