It looks like a WE subset with some sort of terminals on the top. Real? Home brew? ???

The box appears to be WE but the guts are not .Handsets are WE.Possibly Railroad conv.

That thing is strange.. I wouldn't buy it, unless you see value in the receivers.

I wasn't planning on buying it. It just looked interesting to me, and I thought that I would share it here.

It could be part of an old cranker phone.  The handsets could have been used with it at some time.  For all I know, it could be some sort of communication device someone cobbled together.
