I have tried mineral oil, and it has worked very well on my transmitter cup.

I used johnson & Johnson's baby oil on an ivory transmitter cap that had shrunk so tight that I had to whack the cap to remove the transmitter. I left it to soak overnight and now the element fits great. I have only done it on my one of my caps though.

Aha, these products add various kinds of ingredients that are not necessarily published. Some for example contain dioxanes, esters, ethers, that I think would drastically alter the solubility and chemical characteristics.
Dioxanes in pure form completely dissolve Tenite.
