Title: Automatic Electric AE 50 wall phone
Post by: countryman on August 22, 2021, 10:07:27 AM
I eventually found the time to check out my purchase from this thread (http://www.classicrotaryphones.com/forum/index.php?topic=25422.msg250064#msg250064).
I'm really happy with this find. It's complete, not broken or chipped, has the correct handset, and was not even filthy  :)
I've never seen a second one while while watching the sales platforms here in Germany over the last couple of years.
When would this one have been made? I could not find clear dates on it.
I wondered that it is already made for DSL  8) (last pic)  8)
Here are some pics after a quick cleanup.

DSL probably means it has a straight line ringer (not frequency selective) -- not Digital Subscriber Line!

Thanks for explaining the lettering!

I've found this model referred to as "juke box phone" on a collector's site. Quite appropriate, it seems  :)
