Stromberg Carlson "Newer Type" Dial Assembly

The topic will show how to put together a "newer type" Stromberg Carlson rotary dial that was taken apart for proper cleaning including lubrication points during assembly.

The "newer type" SC dial is one with the dial mechanism plate being attached to the dial case with 3 screws and the switch pile up is not attached to that plate. The pile up is directly attached to the dial case.

This particular SC dial has a black Bakelite finger wheel with an ABS plastic 3 pronged push in number card holder, a fixed (numbers painted on metal) number ring and a rear mounted finger stop that requires complete disassembly of the dial mechanism, the back side, to remove it. Assembly instructions for this type of front side set up are included in this topic.
