Hard to Find SC 1198 Ringer

I think this might be NOS, just a few scuffs from Handling all these years. You know the SC 1198, not a high demand Bakelite phone similar to a 202.

BUT you install this ringer where the dial blank went and you have a Hard to get phone.

First pic is a 1198 with a ringer, you can see it adds a bit of height, but not much. This accepts a SC plug for the dial card with a hole, or a WE type retainer ring.

I connected it and it rings LOUD!

Not sure what I am going to do with it, but it sure is different.....Dpuh

...1198 with a ringer...

Wonderful find, Doug!

The SC 1198 is the model number with a dial. When replaced with the ringer shown, it becomes an 1191. Good info in these topics, including catalog info and photos of several other sets we have discussed ...
