I forgot I had this buried in the back. Looks like most of the parts of a build a telephone trainer in the 60s that grade school kids got to build a working telephone....Doug

If I may offer my humble opinion...
That is a very well done mock up.
But it appears it was never intended to be more than is currently present.
The numbers signify wing nut locations. Very basic assembly 101, if you will.
The handset termination is incomplete. It looks like maybe a crude intercom at best.
They went ahead and created a cradle. However, There is no provision for a hook switch.
There is no provision for a coil, or a cap. Just a single, prob 1.5 volt dry cell.
If you look at the rear of the dial, you will see a VERY well cut out mounting bracket.
However, unless my eyes deceive me, there is not enough clearance between the dial screws,
and the edge of the mount.
No one would look at that bracket, and say thank you for making the ground surround ALL the mounting screws.
Hopefully, someone would have caught that before it went into production.
I did mention, I could be wrong.
cool piece for sure.
Kinda says steampunk to me.
