Different Metal in WE B1 102 Bases

B1s are one of my favorite WE phones and I have seen quite a few of them.

Finding them in different condition, sometime a strip is needed.

First pic shows two of the common, a dark grey and a lighter grey. Cradle will shine like chrome

Next is one I have only found one of, it is the same color as a D1 base and the cradle matches.

The last is Brass, which I have never seen. It is not coated, just brass.

You never know what you will find under a B1's paint....Doug

D mounts also have different metals.  Early ones are aluminum, late ones are Pot Metal.
