Should also mention that a lot of the phones on the above list that are gone still have the enclosures left, such as the phone at the SR 522 76 gas station, Shoreline 145th St. Post Office, HT Oak Tree Market, and other phones.

And the phones at the Westwood Village QFC are now gone. Here's a look of where they were, and their numbers: https://www.payphone-project.com/working-payphones-found-in-seattle.html.

And the singular pay phone at the Kenmore Safeway gas station is now gone. It was next to the air pump.

If you see this pay phone on the way up to Paradise Lodge on Mt. Rainier next to a tiny old gas station, the phone is disconnected.

Changing times.  This is why it is almost a necessity to have a cell phone, even if you don't want one.  If you are out somewhere and have an emergency or otherwise need a phone, you are not likely to find a pay phone anywhere.

I don't want the extra bill, and I don't want to be tracked.

Just learned that the pay phone at the Ash Way Park & Ride is gone now. Some more pay phones that are now gone were at the Bothell Public Library, Kingsgate Public Library, and at the Bartell's Drug Store in Canyon Park.

Today I found that the pay phone at Woodland Park Zoo is gone. I spoke with someone at the information desk and they said that they thought that the phone was removed about 3 weeks ago.

If you visit Highway 2 Antiques in Sultan, Washington, the GTE pay phone w/ Verizon coin box is for display only, it's not connected to the phone system.

I'm with Mike here, I've never owned a cellphone my whole life so why do I need one now?
I've broke down in the middle of nowhere plenty of times and got through it, that's how it was back then.
You didn't always break down in front of a payphone or emergency call box, LOL!
DPS has stopped and helped me out several times.

Could you add screenshots of Google walkbys or photos. CRPF is worldwide and these locations are just words to many of us.

How many years has it been since GTE ceased to exist (bought by Verizon/Bell Atlantic)?  25?
