Post your "Finds of the Month" for April 2013 here.

"Finds of the Month" are items that you acquired this month that you are particulatly excited about either because of its rarity, the difficulty you had in trying to find one for your collection or the exceptional "deal" you got on it etc.

I have a find of the month that I would like to nominate. it is the phone that I just bought off of ebay a black model 500 western electric that I paid $42.00 for but, the seller that I bought this from, I have seen his phones(500s/554s)inparticular sell for well over $100.00 .I don t have the phone yet, but when I get it I will post photos of it..... thank you.... southernphoneman :) ;) here are the photos.

Since we are nominating stuff that hasn't actually arrived yet, I'll nominate my Ohio Bell Teletrainer, with a red and a green 500, in matching Samsonite suitcases.  $75 from an on-line auction plus $45 shipping.

Very cool find, sargeguy!

I like the whole setup, and it certainly has the potential for Christmas displays, as well, with the green and red 500's ;)!

I anxiously await more pics, info, and enlightenment about this set.

Best regards, and best of luck on the Find of the Month, as well!
Sláinte!

Like it Sarge! Like the Christmasy phones, too! They definitely qualify as a great find of the month!

Sargeguy,

The red should be on the port side  ;)
            It's a South County thing.

Did South County have dial service back in the 1960s?  Did they have phones? ???

Hello all From what I have learned here this IS the find of the month! I Found this 181 H IV 40 on a garage floor And quickly offered $45.00... I did see one that is NOT original for $995.00 mine from what I have been told is a Untouched 1940's.... I am now the proud owner of my first working Pay Phone and I LOVE it!

After reading your other topic about this payphone, I wondered how long until you would "find" the "Find of the Month" Category! A Perfect "Find of the Month" contestant for April.

Good Luck,
