Title: Vought-Berger Candlestick
Post by: wds on January 08, 2018, 06:20:27 PM
Got this candlestick from Ebay, and I'm pretty sure it's a Vought-Berger.  The last picture is a marked Vought-Berger from the Pete D'Acosta collection.  The base and shaft looks identical to mine, and the perch is very similar.  I will post pictures of the insides when I get a chance to tear it apart.  Can anyone confirm a maker for this candlestick?

I've never seen a transmitter like this.  The center rod is bolted way up at the perch to hold the perch and shaft together.  Not sure right now how I'm going to reach the bolt.

Dave, yes it looks like a Vought Berger to me.  Great find!

I had similar issue with an early Canadian Independent stick (its like the early Monarch with the cast iron base).  The perch was screwed on from the bottom inside of the shaft. I needed to get a long slotted screw driver to remove the screws.  The problem was putting them back in.  I found a long slotted screw driver with clips on the side to hold the screws to the screw driver until they were in place.
