German Phone Found

Found on eBay: Made by Telefonbau & Normalzeit in Frankfurt Germany in 1952. Special export version of TN Maingau 46 without grounding key. Dial is a Merk 2147.

I believe it is pretty close, or equal to this one: http://tinyurl.com/kteqgx6.

The diagram shows a typical German phone. As mot of our European phones this might have some problems with the transmitter, and a ringer with high load.  No bias spring so it is a pretty simple circuit compared to e.g. W.E. 302.
Still it will probably work on US POTS, most PABX's but probably not so well on an ATA.

If you have to modify it  a capacitor or resistor in series with the ringer. (The existing capacitor and resistor is a part of a dial spark /noise filter)

A capacitor in the anti side tone winding may make it suitable for using a transmitter e.g. from a WE500.
