I don't often buy foreign phone but I like desk phones with buttons. And the "mother-in-law" receiver is cool. I'm assuming this is a 1950/60 era phone? Can someone give me some info on it?

I believe that there was a discussion about this model here not so long ago.  I don't remember the details, but this phone is based on the U43 (from 1943) and was able to work on both an outside phone line and internal intercom.  The U43 has no internal ringer.

Matilo Telephones

It is a variant of the U43. U stands for Universal and 43 for 1943. So it dates from the 40's till the 60's.

The buttons let you select different telephones lines. Putting the handset on the cradle brings the selected button back in its off position.

Probably no ringer, but it does have a blinker on the front. The ringing signal partly rotates a star shaped wheel so the blinker blinks white with the pulses of the ringing signal.

It is marked propriete de l'etat. State property. It was once owned by the French state telephone company.
