enclosed is a picture of a #258A adapter. that is the model number for the same thing, but in FEMALE?

Graybar used to sell these. In the late 70s and early 80s I was a tech on the road and many 1A2 Key Systems were upgrade to Hybrid systems. These were a godsend. You didn't have to run new cable when there was existing there and often put more than one phone on the cable....Doug

Here is one with 8 RJ-25 jacks, so probably would line up for dial tone on 6- button phones:

thank you. the last one is what I'm looking for... the others look like they have RJ-12 jacks on them.... my system is set up with RJ45 jacks.

I wish I had just one of these to try with my phones. I don't think I'll ever have a system to match them but this looks like it would at least give me dial tone without having to do anything fancy.
