I have this Williams Candlestick phone and ringer box on ebay. Someone rightly pointed out that the phone is very similar to the Western Electric #22 with the side screw on the shaft. Did Western outsource their parts to other telephone makers? I noticed that it was also similar to a Sampson Jr. stick also. Were there patents on the shafts and base back then or just the internal and technical parts?
