Found today in an antique shop in the Ludington area. Corona Model 3 compact folding typewriter. First introduced in 1912 and the choice of Hemingway. In near mint condition. With user manual and accessory list.

Wow - That is a beauty!  Do you believe that to be unrestored condition?  What can you tell us about the key inlays?  They appear yellow (very cool), which surprises me a bit.

I'll admit to buying/restoring a few Olympia SM machines recently, as we had a green SM4 (probably a '59) when I was a young student, and I felt the need to go back in time....  Thanks for sharing your find!

Wow - That is a beauty!  Do you believe that to be unrestored condition?  What can you tell us about the key inlays?

I don't think it's restored but if someone did it's an incredible job.The key inserts aren't quite as yellow as the picture shows them. The picture was taken with an iPhone 6s plus under LED lighting. I will find the serial number and get the year it was made. It will be between 1912 and 1925. In 1925 Corona merged with LC Smith typewriter and this machine has no Smith markings

Beautiful typewriter, Tom.  Nice find.

You keep an eye on the west side of the state, I'll try and keep an eye out over here.  :)
