New forum members are very welcome and encouraged to take a guess. After all, there are no wrong guesses, just one lucky one. No one knows the winning bid on any auction until it ends. However, it is important to get your guess in before someone else grabs your guess.

Listed about an hour ago in a 7 day auction with no reserve starting at $0.99 is a red AE 50 wall phone. The seller provided a good array of external photos and the housing seems to be undamaged. So far, the phone has attracted 2 bidders placing 2 bids. I'm sure this phone will go higher so who can best guess what this item will sell for when the auction ends?

NOTE:  We will use a $5 gap rule between guesses to prevent crowding. As such, keep your guess at least $5 away from prior guesses for this contest. All guesses, original and a single allowed revised guess if needed, must be submitted at least 24 hours before the auction ends.

The seller listed it as an "RARE Bakelite RED Chicago MONOPHONE Rotary Wall Phone Art Deco Retro NO RESERVE" with the item condition as "Used" and " - - - " and with the auction listing description saying "Awesome shape!  No cracks or other damage!  You can see that I have not attempted to polish or clean the phone in any way.  The dial itself doesn't want to go back by itself.  Looks to be all original including the cord! Looks like any color other than black is extremely popular.  I am setting the bid at only 99 cents!  I will let you the public decide what it is worth!"
