Is it under the dome or is the dome a part of it? Got pictures?

It looks pretty much like the images Doug posted. The ringer is what makes the phone a 1191 and it all appears to be incorporated into the dome.

I haven't taken any of it apart yet. Due to the fragility of these I'm only going to do it the once when I start to clean it all down.

I will post some Clear sc photos later tonite
Jim
I am having trouble transferring my photos. I will download them at work and post with comments tomorrow.
-----------------------
Harry, I don't think I have posted any of these photos before, however my clear fat boy is in the  one in one of Kate Dooner's book.

Regarding the auction contest set. I was outbid on it, and  it had a lot of shrinkage.
The seller stated that SC salesmen could special order the clear sets as a marketing tool.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pretty much all of the non-black SC sets of this vintage is subject to shrinkage and distortion.
If you cast a perfect replacement cap, it probably wont fit right, but it is a good start point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There aren't very many clear SC sets that still exist.  And among those few clear sets  there are several  different models  .
Any of these sets are very hard to find
This particular phone is a exceptional example of a clear SC .

Here are the ones I own.
the 1212 is pretty good, on the other two, one has a bad handset and the other is missing plastic from the base.

Good news.

I have been contacted by the seller - they found the missing endcap. They have kindly promised to forward it on to me.

I'll update this thread when it has arrived.

That is good luck, It probably doesn't fit anymore and that is why it is off.
It is still nice to have the missing piece.
