Death of the payphone.

I had no idea ATT got out of the payphone business. And I guess Verizon is out now, too. Are there any legacy Telcos operating payphones anymore?  I hear NYC is going to convert their payphones into wi-fi hubs.    And the telcos are coming closer everyday to drop the law that they must maintain POTS service. Sad.

Maybe I'll hang on to my payphones.  The part about POTS disappearing is depressing. There's a thread here about that.
