I picked up this Capsule Transmitter, which I didn't need, just for this instruction sheet.  Thought I would post it for future reference.

That is very interesting.  I have a converted handset on my AE34.  I didn't realize that the conversions ran that late.  The document looks like it is date 6-50.

The capsule that came with the instruction sheet was the older transmitter, so I assume someone made the conversion then put the older transmitter with the instruction sheet.  Personally I prefer the older style.  The newer capsules twist when you try to remove the brass band, breaking the metal contacts that hold the capsule.

You have to hold down on the spitcup to turn the brass ring.

Sometimes the spit cup and the brass ring won't separate if they haven't been unscrewed for 50 years.  I've broken two of those newer capsule holders because the spit cup refused to hold still.  On the older style, the capsule is locked into place, so it can't spin.
