I un-taped the black wire, and traced it back to terminal #4.  Your wiring diagram looks pretty good.

I you ends up with feeling this is difficult, or a screw is stuck and you dont want to use force, you may connect the dial on the line into the phone. The pulsing contacts on one of the lines, and the (one of) shorting contacts, just shorting the entire telephone. This is a rough way of doing it, but it works, always! The drawback: if you use the dial in on hook position, the exchange believes you are going off hook, dialing one digit, and going on hook for each time you dial a digit. No big trouble.
