My AE 50 has a frequency ringer, I can tell by all the signs. Heavy adjustable weight, reed, etc. what surprises me is on the label of the ringer it has 16.6~. So, if it realty is that low compared to the 40 and 50~ freq ringers, is there a shot this might ring ok on modern 20~ service? I have not wired in a wall cord yet. Here are a couple of pix inside.

16.6~ is pretty common, and was at the low end of frequencies, if not the lowest.  While they are highly selective to within a couple of cycles, the 16.6 is probably adjustable with the weight to a point where you might get a reasonable amount of action out of it on a regular line.

Thanks, I thought it might, as I have seen on here the success folks have had with tweaking 40 and 50 ~ ringers.

I'll hook it up in a week or so, I have to buy a Dialgizmo because my home phone is Straight talk VOIP.

My 2 AE40's I just got, one has a 50~ ringer, and I lucked out, the other is straight line. Those are next to work on.
