Already had it, Terry - we went Saturday night :) Jeff is coming down tonight, and is going to BBQ steak! Last night, Linda treated me to Prime Rib Roast. Been pigging out all weekend! There's no food left on the Island. And my birthday present is that box of UK switching parts from Ireland for the UK switching demo. I see DHL scanning shows it got to and left Moncton last night!

Another year has gone by ALREADY? For those who don't know DavePEI, here's his bio....
Dave grew up in Brockville Ontario, the home of Phillips Electrical Works and later AE Canada. He squandered his youth collecting phones from AE's dumpster. When he left Brockville to go to university his parents returned all of his phones to AE's dumpster.
Now, living on Prince Edward Island Canada he has devoted his life to restoring his long lost phone collection! He seems to have a pretty good start and may just be able to pull it off.
Dave will take a brief break from his telephone museum tomorrow to go clean out the local Chinese Food establishment after which they will begin to place their orders for enough supplies to do it all again for him Next year on April 16.
Happy Birthday Dave and for many more to come!

Yes, Terry we will be going for our traditional birthday meal later today!
I got two great presents this year, first a great outdoor chair, so the old man can sit out on the deck in comfort, and secondly, the beautiful weather we have had in the past three days! We have had three days between 14 and 18 degrees which have cut feet off the remaining snow banks!
Yesterday, I actually spent some hours working over in the museum in shirtsleeves!
Our snow has been reduced to only small drifts in the east and west sides of our property, and for now, even those are melting fast. However, later today, the temperature is forecast to drop to freezing again, so even if we get a few more hours of warm weather, we won't get rid of all of our snow.
No new telephones, but at least I was finally able to get back into the museum and begin my spring preparations!

I had a great birthday - no new phones, but a great new chair for the old guy to sit on the deck!
Beautiful sunny day today, and pretty well all of our now snow is gone. I even spent a while cleaning the BBQ and seasoning it's grills, now am ready for this season of BBQs!

Last year at this time you mentioned that you had already been over to the museum doing some work. This year you probably aren't even certain that the museum is still there under all of the snow!

Great day. It is only 3 deg. c. here today, but yesterday was quite a day here. The Dept. of Highways were kept busy digging channels so the melting water could exit the roads. We went for the "traditional" Chinese Food yesterday, a day early, as we had to go shopping, get the new license plates, etc. today.... Bobbi (our cat) gently woke me up at 4 a.m. by petting my nose constantly with her paw, then when I ignored that, the claws in that petting paw started coming out. When that didn't work, she started nipping me on the nose! What a way to wake up on my Birthday!

Thanks to all for your wishes! I had a great day, starting up two new FB groups, then got a message from an old friend that I last saw 50 years ago, Kurt Davis. We were best buddies in Brockville when I grew up until his parents moved away. I found him on FB a few weeks ago, then emailed him to see if it was him. He emailed back today, and said, "Its me. Is that you, Moose?" I won't go into the Moose thing.
It was a great day!

Yes, we warned them! Thanks! Am I that predictable? Well, I guess so, if you look down the greetings in this thread going back to around 2011! We always go for Chinese for my Birthday. It is the only thing I want! I didn't get rich or famous, but do have a taste for Chinese!

Yes, it is getting close. This is the year where I officially become an Old Fogey, but I have felt like that for a little while. No phones - I have never gotten a phone on my birthday - my family doesn't understand my addiction to them. But my wife sure loves her spoons, teacups, teapots, and angel collection... She says, at least they are useful! I should reply that if it weren't for phones, she would have to spend her day gossiping on two tin cans and twine! Nice to have all the snow gone before my birthday. I am able to do a little work over in the museum every day! Thanks, guys!
