I have had this stick for awhile....I thought it was black. I started to strip it and saw chrome peaking though. It wasn't black just years or neglect. Medium steel wool with Brasso and a whole lot of patience. Bakelite stem sleeve is in great shape. I guess this is original nickel. I am repairing the receiver so I put this on for the pics. It is amazing how you can be fooled on what you have....Doug

Very nice. The nickle certainly improves the looks.

That was from a collection  ???  : 0 !

Must be nice.  I'm envious....  Out of storage space myself.

Glad you and others have room, and are preserving them from the steam-punk fad, and arts & crafts types. : )

Happy Holidays!

Bruce....it now  is in my collection, it was in the dungeon with the phones waiting to be cleaned and repaired.  This was truly a shock, I thought it was a bad paint job black. .

I have a Nipper in my Phone Room.  I have had it for years. A Record store, remember those, had it on the counter where you paid. When it went out of business, I purchased it at a great price......Doug
