Is there a thread on the site or does anyone have any experience with a method for restoring a rubbed off or faded number on a porcelain 302 number plate/dial?  Thank you...Tim

There's not really a good way to "restore" it, unless you get a laminate overlay from Old Phone Works.  They're inexpensive.  Or you could replace it with a dial plate in better condition.

After seeing the restoration of Greg's porcelain sign, I thought the same could be done to a dial plate. They are made the same way with the same materials. I sent an email and received a very cryptic response that I think meant a very definitive "NO"! There seem to be a few other places that do the sign restoration that I intend to try. If I find one willing to do it I will post results on the forum.
