Title: AE Weatherproof Monophone
Post by: stub on July 05, 2011, 09:37:38 PM
Another e-bay item I just had to get ;D Well , I got half a phone. Somebody lost the case , cord and clip. The phone works great.  AE Catalog # 4055 , pg17, 1934 is where the pic is from and AE Catalog # 4055-A ,pg. 20 , 1937 catalog #  AM-25.
Maybe sometime I might run across the case  ::)  Terry???             stub

The case looks like something that Steve H might get off of a ship being scrapped!

I've never seen that version of weatherproof AE phone before. Looks like it could almost double for an Explosion Proof set as well. Good luck finding the case but it soes look like it might be a somewhat standard sort of box made by someone other than AE. Maybe one can be found on an old ship.

Terry,

I'm glad you said "almost!"  With the cover open, I wouldn't want that phone in any of my explosive atmosphere locations.
