This a phoneco (Ron Knappen) creation. They had lots of extra upper housings, lots of firewood, and a Korean source of repro brass parts and this was the result.

I saw that auction just after it went up. When I saw that there were 10+ available, I checked the ship's from address. Phoneco must have had a lot of parts to do 10+. I wonder if the coin chute and gongs are still in it. If so, it could also be used as a bank, of sorts, but how would you get the money out?

This seller is located in the same town as phoneco--Galesville, WI. I believe they are resellers or somehow connected with phoneco. This item is in the current phoneco catalog: $339 retail or $239 if you are in ATCA or TCI or have a sales tax resale number. No doubt they are using repro upper housings now, but originally, Ron had purchased a large quantity of either new or refurbished AE upper housings still in the cartons.
