My budget doesn't allow for new items very often, so it took a while looking for the right example of the phone I wanted.  I won't reveal what kind it is until I'm certain it hasn't been dashed to bits in transit.  It is a European rotary phone.  I looked for one that was the right price, that was being sold in as close to an adjacent state to mine as possible, one that would be shipped priority and by a dealer in collectibles that showed at least 1 telephone transaction.  That's an infinitely easier task than finding one locally, which is virtually impossible.  It has started down here and is expected late Friday.
