I just bought a WE 3-slot on Ebay (probably either a 233 or 236) and I'm concerned I won't be able to get it open.  I has that 2nd upper housing "barrel" style lock which uses a hollow round key.  Any ideas for opening that one?  I've heard they were all keyed differently so I can't just Ebay a 10G key like I can for the other lock.   The phone hasn't arrived yet, so I may not have an issue, but I'd thought I'd ask in advance just in case.  Thank you!  Paul

I have not tried it on payphones but I have used a barrel key for elevators on different locks by simply grinding the portruding tab off.

That barrel lock screws om a long post. There is a screwdriver slot  or a hex head on the back of the paystation so this will unscrew
