Title: Old Brass Finish on a WE Candlestick
Post by: Doug Rose on May 21, 2017, 01:45:06 PM
This was a lamp and was dirty. Really Dirty!! I thought the brass has just faded. Cleaning it up I found it is an Old brass Finish. I have never seen this done to a stick. Hard to picture, but it is so cool!!...Doug

Looks nice, Doug! Definitely an interesting process it went through at one point.

Do you have an Old Brass 302 or D1 to compare the finish to?

Was it a painted finish, plated brass or solid brass? If either of the metals, it does have a nice patina. Looks great regardless.

Christian/John...It was painted and the paint job is superb. There is a little mark on the base where you can see the brass showing through. It was definitely professional right down to the screws on the transmitter. I have had this for awhile and thought it was just brass that had darkened with age. I wiped it off with Howard's Liquid Wax and couldn't believe my eyes....Doug
