ray, I'll settle for brass... now comes the hard part.... do the 400 series in color (keyset) I have tons of black, I'd love to see some color!  heres hoping!   John

Ray- Looks like convergence; AE 47 is also the most difficult to disassemble I've ever found. 

In light of the 2-line 1A with the keys on what the British call a "plinth", and in light of Kellogg's and SC's "plinths" for their magneto versions of 1000 and 1243, one would have thought that AE could have come up with a plinth for the 40, with line keys and space for two ringers.  Nonetheless a clever bit of engineering to fit all the bits in there.  I'll be intrigued to see how yours comes out.
