I haven't done any printing for over twenty years, and that was only litho; it's even longer since I've done any letterpress, but I've been composing type again this morning.  Only a short run of cards in black and two spot colours for a neighbour.  It's partly from newly-composed foundry type, and partly from existing Ludlow slugs retained when the job was last printed, a few years ago.

I did a bit of letterpress in school as a hobby, but I worked in litho for quite a while.  I don't miss it a bit.  Actually, I miss the letterpress.  That was fun.

I hated cleaning up with litho, the ink seemed to get everywhere, and some of the chemicals were pretty nasty then.  I used to make plates in a tiny room with no ventilation; the plate developer contained 2-ethoxy ethanol, and it used to give me the most terrible headaches.  MEK was used to bring up low spots on blankets, and that was pretty unpleasant too.  I've done a bit of silkscreen as well, but never any form of intaglio printing.
